How We Serve
Our organization covers all federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement and firefighting agencies, i.e. FBI, DEA, Wildlife Fish and Game, Sheriff’s Department and all local municipal agencies who serve in Volusia and Flagler Counties.
To join and remain a member in good standing we will annually make a request for dues from our membership. These funds first go to our providing the $10,000 death benefit to the families we serve that have lost a loved one, a spouse, mom or dad while they were serving “in the line of duty” for our community.
Additionally at the end of each year, after carefully considering the clubs priorities and current fiscal health, the board may in its discretion reach out to our community’s law enforcement and firefighting agencies, allowing them to make application for receiving a portion of our funds in excess of our reserves of $20,000. These requested funds are to be used solely for the purpose of providing updated modern safety equipment for our agencies in Volusia and Flagler County’s. Such request will go towards providing equipment such as lighter weight body armor, K9’s, night vision equipment. Our goal here is to use our organizations resources to better ensure that our first responders return home safely to their family each and every day.
We are also currently working on putting together a directory that will list all our members who have expressed a desire to provide assistance to the families within their chosen profession. Example, we have a fellow member who is an orthodontist who provides free braces and orthodontic care for surviving children.
Lastly again trying to reach out to our surviving children, we send out a card both at Christmas and again on their birthdays, containing a crisp $100 dollar bill. These cards go out to every child under the age of 21, who has lost a mother or father while serving our community “in the line of duty.” Our desire being to let these children know that their community has not forgotten their sacrifice and that we are continuingly thinking of them.
Join Us
Please join us in serving the families of those who serve us. We strive to find a balance in the financial operations of our organization. The club will not collect and stock pile member’s money without first showing a real need. It is our desire to only request in dues what we need to serve our near and long term objectives.
Our current dues are $50 dollars annually and then a request for $100 will go out to our members to help replenish funds after a death has occurred and we have paid out a $10,000 death benefit. The $50 in annual dues goes to covering the $100 gifts to the children of fallen first responders on their birthdays and Christmas, covering the monthly website maintenance expense and covering the expense of any unexpected attrition in our membership’s response when we have to pay out a death benefit.
